Home > What's Next > Adjusted Compression G-Pants (ACGP) Research and Information: Adjusted Compression G-Pants (ACGP) Research and InformationIntroductionI am pleased to share good progress on a new g-pants design. It is an interesting combination of g-suit and support stockings. It has its own set of pros and cons, which for me include sleek and lightweight, custom size and adjustable, no leaking, and washable, but extra effort to put on daily, not full range of motion. Contact Final Frontier Design for a chance to try a prototype (see below). ACGP DescriptionFinal Frontier Design, a Brooklyn, NY based company, has developed Adjusted Compression G-Pants (ACGP) that do not require a compressed gas source, as ordinary anti-g-pants do to inflate the bladders and maintain compression. [Note: The added pressure a pump could provide is not always needed for medical use.] ACGP design is a non-inflatable garment that consists of elastic, laced pants. G-pants can be adjusted for optimal fit and comfort without additional hardware requirements. ACGP is lighter as compared to traditional anti-g-pants, only 2-3 lbs (weight depends on model). It can be worn under flight coveralls or ordinary pants. Medical compression socks are recommended in addition to the ACGP. The ACGP is easy to put on and remove, easy to adjust, with a pressure range between 20-45 mm HG. The latest model of ACGP is tightened using a series of Velcro straps rather than the complex lacing system shown here. Copyright © 2015, Final Frontier Design Picture
